A Second War Royal Canadian Navy Ensign

Multi-piece construction, in red, white and navy blue cotton mesh, central red cross centering three panels in white, the fourth panel at the upper left with multiple pieces in red, white and navy blue forming the Union Jack, initials "KB" in black ink on two white areas of the Union Jack, one on the obverse and one on the reverse, white canvas hoist sleeve stamped in red ink "BOATSWAIN" and "3" with the initials "KB" in black ink nearby, hoist sleeve with a rope fed through it, each end with a bronze loop fed through the rope for placement upon a flagpole, 650 mm x 1,270 mm, a few tiny holes and loose threads, near extremely fine.
