A Scarce “Acceptance Authority of the Kriegsmarine for Submarines” Identification Tag; Numbered

This is a scarce UAK (Ubootsabnahmekommando/Acceptance Authority of the Kriegsmarine for Submarines) Identification tag; in stamped aluminum; with one drill hole: stamped “UAK” with the Kriegsmarine national eagle on the obverse, and numbered “789” on the reverse; measuring 37 mm in diameter; extremely fine condition.

Footnote: The UAK (Ubootsabnahmekommando/Acceptance Authority of the Kriegsmarine for Submarines) was part of the Kriegsmarine Development Board for submarines, and was tasked with taking over ownership, initial testing, and delivery of newly built submarines.
