A Prussian Order of the Red Eagle; 4th Class in Case & Carton by Wagner

An excellent example from a fine collection of awards, in silver with white enamels, stippled arms, handpainted centrepiece, marked "W" (Wagner) on the edge of the bottom arm, measuring 38.5 mm, original ribbon, intact enamels, very light contact, near mint. In its hardshelled case of issue, recessed medal bed, hook closure, case also near mint, in its cardboard carton of issue, labelled "Rother Adler-Orden / 4. Klasse." on the lid, slight creasing, carton extremely fine. Accompanied by a Royal Prussian red wax seal cut out of the reverse panel of an envelope, the seal bearing the Prussian coat-of-arms, 40 mm x 40 mm, with minor chipping, seal extremely fine.
