Here is a beautiful World War I United States Air Service pilot wing, so called “Dallas” style, unmarked, but this type of wing is attributed to famous US jewelers Bailey, Banks & Biddle. The wing is finely detailed in sterling silver while the "US" at the center of its shield is in solid gold, separately attached, center is hollow, with three went holes; wing measures approximately 3 ¾ inches x 3/4 inch (87.3mmx20.5mm); pin back assembly on reverse (catch had been repaired/re-soldered), wing is in slightly worn condition, good very fine condition overall, very attractive WW! period wing, scarce.
