A fine quality Luftwaffe “Frontflugspange für Aufklärer - Silber”; in silvered tombac; broad horizontal pinback with a functional hinge/catch assembly; maker marked “Jmme & Sohn, Berlin” on the reverse; measuring 75.22 mm x 25.84 mm; weighing 25.7 grams; better than extremely fine condition with the majority of the original silvering still intact. Accompanied by its original case of issue; constructed of heavy pressed paper with a textured blue faux leather (leatherette) exterior; recessed medal bed - has lost its “furry” coating through time; functional push button - slightly bent so the case opens and closes without pushing the button; intact interior fabric hinge cover; intact external metal hinge; measuring 90 mm x 43 mm; overall better than extremely fine condition.
