A fine early quality manufacture textbook example of a Radio Operator & Air Gunner “Fliegerschützenabzeichen” badge by this maker; in silvered and patinated tombac; pin needle style vertical pinback with a barrel hinge and a round wire catch (bent but functional); two fully intact rivets; maker marked “CEJ” (C. E. Juncker, Berlin) on the reverse; measuring 52.23 mm x 41.17 mm; weighing 25.1 grams; extremely fine condition. Accompanied by its original “reduced size” case of issue; constructed of a heavy pressed paper with a dark blue textured faux leather (leatherette) exterior; lined interior medal bed with a recessed medal bed; functional push-button; perfectly preserved interior fabric hinge cover; functional exterior metal hinge; measuring 75 mm x 68 mm; better than extremely fine condition.
