A fine early quality manufacture textbook example of a Paratrooper/Fallschirmjäger badge; in gilded and silvered tombac; pin needle style vertical pinback with a barrel hinge and a round wire catch; two fully intact rivets; maker marked “C. E. Juncker, Berlin W” on the reverse; measuring 53.03 mm x 42.54 mm; weighing 40.3 grams; better than extremely fine condition. Accompanied by its original case of issue; constructed of constructed of a heavy pressed paper with a dark blue textured faux leather (leatherette) exterior; lined interior medal bed with a recessed medal bed; functional push-button; perfectly preserved interior fabric hinge cover; functional exterior metal hinge; measuring 81 mm x 74 mm; overall extremely fine condition.
