This is mint and overall extremely well preserved debenture bond from the state of Mecklenburg, stating that the state will pay the owner of this bond 500 Reichsmark with a 4% interest rate over a period of 30 years, at which point the bond has to be cashed. If it is not, the contract will be void. This debenture bond is part of the overall bond of 25,000,000 Reichsmark. It is signed in Schwerin on April 1st, 1942 on behalf of the Mecklenburg state ministry’s department of finances and carries the facsimile of Friedrich Scharf (1897–1974), the governor of Mecklenburg. On the reverse are detailed terms of the contract, including the banks where the interest can be collected. Overall mint condition without any signs of age, wear, or other noticeable flaws.
