A certificate of apprenticeship and exam certificate, plastic and paper, measuring 105x146mm, in its original case, plastic and cardboard, measuring 119x154mm, extremely fine condition, slightly bent, with age related discolouration.
The issuing party is the Schlosser- und Maschinenbauer-Innung Stralsund (Metal Worker and Mechanical Engineering Association of Stralsund, northeast Germany). The certificate states that Hans Joachim Schulz, born January 7, 1923 has been an apprentice in the metal working trade between April 1, 1937 and April 12, 1940. On this day he has also passed his apprenticeship certification exam, and can now legally call himself a journeyman of the trade.
The document is stamped and shows five different signatures of members of the association.
