In silver gilt with fine red, white and green enameling, star marked and maker marked "V. MAYER SÖHNE IN WIEN" on the ring, 30.5 mm x 60.5 mm inclusive of its crown suspension, original triangular ribbon, crazing evident in the white enamels on the reverse centrepiece, otherwise, the enamels are intact, extremely fine. In its hardshelled case of issue, marked "OESTERR. KAISERLICHER LEOPOLD-ORDEN RITTERKREUZ." on the lid, marked "BR" and maker marked "ETUIS & CASSETTEN FABRIK J. G. BERGMANN WIEN VII" on the bottom, coat-of-arms on the inside lid, lightly soiled recessed medal bed, light scuffing on the exterior, case better than very fine.
