An Iron Cross 1939 Second Class with even and very attractive patina; silver frame with light white oxidized silver effect on the ribs of the frame; blackened iron core (magnetic); on loop for suspension (unmarked); with its narrow period-original ribbon; measuring 44.04 mm x 44.19 mm; weighing 21.1 grams; light contact marks evident on the black semi-matte eggshell sheen paint, but otherwise extremely fine condition. Accompanied by its original LDO case of issue; in cardstock with a black faux leather (leatherette) exterior; the inside of the lid embossed “LDO” in black ink; recessed medal bed; measuring 79 mm x 70 mm; overall extremely fine condition.
