Scarce: Light blue embroidered stylized eagle, with "AIR CADETS" in white embroidery, on a black cotton base, the raised edge trimmed in navy blue embroidery, 35 mm x 58 mm, extremely fine.
Footnote: The Air Defence Cadet Corps (ADCC) was founded in 1938. During the Second World War, many ADCC officers and instructors were drafted into the Royal Air Force (RAF). The squadron buildings were commanded by the RAF and the cadets were sent to work at RAF stations. The cadets were used to carry messages, perform clerical duties, handle aircraft and move equipment. The ADCC was reborn and re-named the Air Training Corps (ATC) on February 5, 1941.
