A German Eagle Order First Class by Godet with Case

First Class Cross (as marked inside of the case), in silver gilt and enamels, marked "900" on the ring, and exhibiting the manufacturing characteristics of Godet, Berlin, measuring 50mm (x59.0mm including ring suspension), with very fine enamels and a with length of original ribbon with hooks at the ends, as originally worn by the recipient; cross of excellent quality manufacture, slightly worn, no chipping to enamels, in extremely fine condition, and with pleasing old patina; in case of issue, interior marked: "Verdienstkreuz I. Stufe des Ordens vom Deutchen Adler"; case of fine quality, in extremely fine condition. An excellent example of this decoration.
