An M43 Enlisted Man's Field Cap

(Einheitsfeldmutze M43): This beautifully textured army green wool M43 field cap (Einheitsfeldmutze M43) has an embroidered gray Army eagle above a tri-colour cockade, the two insignias sharing a T-shaped fern green embroidered background, the embroidered items on a trapezoid-shaped sage green rayon field. The skirt arms displaying the usual square ended pattern, secured with two magnetic silvered metal buttons, each with a pebbled upper, plus a reinforced visor. The underside of the skirt has 6 mm x 70 mm straps sewn in place on either side. The interior is lined in grayish-green rayon and is without markings. The cap measures 180 mm x 250 mm x 90 mm in height, exhibiting scattered interruptions in the fabric and light soiling on the exterior, the visor bill with a crack at its centre point, silvering loss and surface rust evident on the metal buttons, fabric interruptions and soiling in the dome, intact stitching, fine.
