A HJ Proficiency Book to Helmut Schmidt

A HJ Leistungsbuch (proficiency book), 64 pages, measuring 102x145mm, extremely fine condition with minimal scuffing and age-related discolouration. The book is issued to HelmutSchmidt. It is dated to October 2nd, 1940 and states that Schmidt has been awarded the HJ Proficiency Badge in Silver.

Footnote: HelmutSchmidt was born on August 2, 1919 in Ludwigsburg (north of Stuttgart). He joined the HJ on January 20, 1934. Eventually he became a Scharführer in Bann 180 (Hohenasperg) of District 20. He led the Gefolgschaft 8/180.
