Fabricated from a light brown cotton, the shoulders with narrow straps along the outside edge and brown finished zinc buttons with pebbled uppers that are fed through reinforced button holes mid-way between the neck and shoulder, for the placement of shoulder straps that have been lost to time, the buttons maker marked with an "M" inside an angled square on the reverse and sewn in place to smaller buttons that are anchored in place on the underside of the button hole. The front has two pockets sewn in place, one on each breast, each pocket with a decorative pleat and fold over flap, each pleat with a brown finished metal button and a flap with a reinforced button hole. Above the right breast pocket is a machine applied dark khaki triangular cotton patch bearing the Luftwaffe eagle in gray embroidery. The front has a vertical row of six brown finished metal buttons on the right side, facing an equal number of reinforced button holes on the left side. The inside of the collar is stamped in black ink with the maker's name "B. Rawe & Co" along with a "1" and "39", the shirt designed with short sleeves and measuring 480 mm across the shoulders and 810 mm in length overall. Near mint. (C:125)
