Fabricated from an olive green cotton, the shoulders with narrow straps along the outside edge and silvered metal buttons with pebbled uppers that are sewn in place mid-way between the neck and shoulder, for the placement of shoulder straps that have been lost to time, the buttons maker marked "G.G." on the reverse, as are all the buttons on the exterior of tunic. The collars are adorned with machine applied tropical collar tabs in gray and brown embroidery. The front has four pockets sewn in place, smaller ones on each breast and larger ones at the waist on both sides, each pocket with a fold over flap with a reinforced button hole and housing a silvered metal button with a pebbled upper. Above the right breast pocket is a machine applied embroidered Heer eagle in gray on a brown background. The front has a vertical row of five silvered metal buttons, each with a pebbled upper, on the right side, facing an equal number of reinforced button holes on the left side. There are three vertical reinforced eyelets on either side at the waist, the rear of the tunic single-vented. Inside, there is an deep narrow pocket sewn in place just inside the opening on the right side, the pocket with a small silvered zinc button and reinforced button hole. There are thick gray cotton straps sewn in place just below each armpit, each strap with seven reinforced eyelets, the bottom three eyelets of which line up with the eyelets on either side at the waist on the exterior. In addition, there is a loop sewn in place in the collar for hanging the tunic on a hook, the tunic without maker, size and date stampings and measuring 440 mm across the shoulders and 600 mm in length overall.
