A First War AEF French Theatre Matchbox Cover

Three-piece construction, a 1918 ten centimes coin in nickel mounted in the centre of the front panel, a ten centimes coin in bronze (dated on its underside butting the cover) mounted in the centre of the back panel, with an empty matchbox inside, the matchbox marked "LICENSED MATCH / RED TOP / IMPREGNATED / SAFETY MATCH / THE DIAMOND MATCH CO." on the front panel, "STRIKE ON BOX / NO AFTERGLOW / MADE IN USA / THE DIAMOND MATCH CO." on the back panel, with striking strips on the side panels, 39.5 mm x 61 mm x 20.7 mm, exhibiting spotting and surface wear throughout, better than very fine.
