An SA (Sturmabteilungen) Enlisted Man's Belt with Buckle

First version SA enlisted man's belt buckle in die-stamped brass, unmarked, illustrating a right facing eagle, its talons gripping a sunwheel swastika, inscribed "GOTT MIT UNS" (God is with Us) above, with a half-wreath of oak leaves and acorns below, the buckle measuring 47.2 mm x 63.5 mm. Belt in leather, with a smooth-finished dark brown upper and raw underside, nine rows of two holes each for length adjustment on the right end, magnetic metal receiving clip dual riveted in place on the left end, the belt measuring 43 mm x 955 mm. Buckle exhibits contact marks and surface wear, age wear on the receiving clip, crazing in the leather on the right end and green marks on the reverse of the belt. Very fine.
