A fine quality early war “Zerstörerkriegsabzeichen”; in silvered and gilded tombac, with nearly all of the original gilding still intact, but with scattered traces of green oxidation; horizontal slender banjo style pinback with a barrel hinge and a flat wire catch; maker marked “Schwerin, Berlin 63” on the reverse; measuring 53.88 mm x 45.33 mm; weighing 24.5 grams; near extremely fine condition.
