Klasse (without Swords/ohne Schwerter); in fine quality silvered tombac; vertical slender banjo style pinback with a barrel hinge and a flat wire catch; unmarked; measuring 47.59 mm x 47.82 mm; weighing 15.9 grams; accompanied by its original case of issue; constructed of heavy pressed paper with a black textured faux leather (leatherette) exterior; embossed on the outside of the lid with a silver outline of a War Merit Cross First Class; with a lined interior and a recessed medal bed; functional spring catch with stud release; intact but slightly frayed interior fabric hinge cover; functional exterior metal hinge; measuring 68 mm x 68; one of the corners of the case missing its leatherette, but overall mint condition.
