This is an honest piece, that shows its true wear. Nickel-plated hilt fittings show surface wear with some speckling/crazing to the pommel and crossguard with portions of toned frosting remaining in the detail of the wings on the stylized RLB eagle crossguard. The leather wrapped wooden grip shows surface wear and some scuffing and is complete with silver plate over copper RLB starburst insignia properly pinned to the obverse grip. Starburst shows extensive wear to the silver-plating with enamel loss. The blade is finely acid etched with the WKC markings and had remained well protected in its scabbard, rating better than extremely fine as it exhibits very little contact. Fine cross graining, and standard runner marks. Black leather washer is in place. The leather wrapped scabbard shows wear consistent with the handle with contact and wear. Dent-free, nickel-plated lower fitting shows wear but, no lifting but, is missing the two retaining screws. Overall, a true and honest example, with an extremely fine blade and fine exterior.
