Turkey (Ottoman Empire): Multi-piece construction, silver gilt with red and green enamels, Arabic inscription in Gold on the obverse centrepiece, unmarked, 63.8 mm x 81.8 mm inclusive of its crescent moon and star suspension, original ribbon, intact enamels, traces of gilt remains on the crescent moon on the centrepiece, extremely fine. In its hardshelled case of issue, emerald green velvet exterior with a sage green cloth bottom, Turkish sultan's tughra and marked 3rd Class in Eastern Arabic on the lid, raised platform with a recessed medal bed, latch closure, wear evident on the exterior corners and wear in the cloth fabric on the bottom, case very fine.
