A mint alternative de-nazified replacement version of an Iron Cross 1939 First Class; white metal cross pattée of multi-piece construction with a blackened iron core (magnetic) within a white metal ribbed border; the obverse with a raised three-pointed stem of oak leaves with the re-institution date “1939” in raised numbering on the lower arm;; the reverse plain, with a vertical banjo style pinback, a barrel hinge, and a rounded wire catch; maker marked “L/11” for “Wilhelm Deumer, Lüdenscheid” on the reverse; measuring 43.88 mm x 43.89 mm; weighing 16.3 grams; mint condition.
