A fine quality manufacture Somme veteran’s commemorative badge; in silver (marked “935”); the obverse constructed of a left-facing eagle with spread feathers and a center enamelled medallion on its chest, hand painted with laurel leaves, a Stahlhelm, as well as ”Somme - 1914-1918”; reverse plain (marked “935”); horizontal pinback with a barrel hinge and a round wire catch; measuring 53.57 mm x 40.09 mm; weighing 17.2 grams; extremely fine condition.
