A Mint Early Quality General Assault Badge; Hollow Version

An early quality second war German “Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen”; oval silvered brass; with an oak leaf border with a pair of acorns at the base, with a large Wehrmacht-style eagle with folded wings clutching a mobile swastika, and a crossed bayonet and stick grenade in the centre; the reverse hollow,with a vertical needle style pin, barrel hinge, and a round wire catch; measuring 52.26 mm x 41.20 mm; weighing 12.3 grams; of note is the crack along the left side of the wings from manufacture; in mint condition.
