A second war German “Nahkampfspange”; in bronzed white metal alloy; the obverse with a national eagle and a bayonet and hand grenade in the centerpiece, with sun rays emanating from the centre of the left and right sides, and with four oak leaves and two acorns on each side; the reverse plain, with a square magnetic backing plate; horizontal pinback with an integrated hinge and a round wire catch on the reverse; maker marked “Arbeitsgemeinschaft Metal und Kunstoff of Gablonz”; measuring 97.29 mm x 26.50 mm; weighing 34.1 grams; extremely fine condition.
