A Second War German General Assault Badge

A second war German “Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen”; oval silvered zink; with an oak leaf border with a pair of acorns at the base, with a large Wehrmacht-style eagle with folded wings clutching a mobile swastika, and a crossed bayonet and stick grenade in the centre; the reverse plain, with a vertical needle style pin, crimped ball hinge (previously repaired or reinforced) and a round wire catch; measuring 54.43 mm x 42.07 mm; weighing 28.4 grams; better than very fine condition.
