A second war German “Verwundetenabzeichen”; oval shaped silvered tombac; the obverse pebbled with a Stahlhelm featuring a large mobile swastika on its side superimposed on crossed swords within a wreath of laurel wreaths and a tied bow at the bottom; the reverse plain with a vertical needle style pin, barrel hinge, and an round wire catch; maker marked “L/18” for “B.H. Mayer, Pforzheim” on the reverse; measuring 44.41 mm x 36.75 mm; weighing 29.6 grams; with the majority of the original silvering intact; in very fine condition. (C:154)
