A Silver Grade Close Combat Clasp by Rudolf Souval of Vienna

A second war German “Nahkampfspange”; in silvered zink; the obverse with a national eagle, bayonet and hand grenade in the centerpiece, with sun rays emanating from the centre of the left and right sides, and with four oak leaves and two acorns on each side of the central motif; the reverse plain, with a square magnetic backing plate, horizontal banjo stlye pinback with a barrel hinge and a flat wire catch; measuring 96.70 mm x 26.10 mm; weighing 34.3 grams; better than fine condition.
