Constructed of silvery/grey embroidered flower petals and dual leaves, and stem; with seven yellow stamen; all within a silvery/grey embroidered circle; measuring 76 mm x 59 mm; mint and unworn condition. (C: 162)

Footnote: Worn by the members of the Waffen-SS Gebirgstruppen (Mountain Troops) on the right sleeve of both the tunic and the great coat. Edelweiss flowers traditionally represent bravery and courage in German/Austrian culture.
