This is a mint and unissued third reich period German Forstanwärter rank collar tab. The tab is constructed of a standard buckram core, with a forest-green woolen backer. The obverse of the tab is ordained with extremely fine, high quality, silver aluminum twisted wire in the shape of a single oak leaf in the centre of the tab. It is edged on all four sides with fine quality twisted wire fastened to the sides using invisible green threads; measuring 57 mm x 41 mm. Accompanied by its factory attached quality control tag, numbered “6465” with its description, dated “28.11.1941”, and with the factory’s maker mark “Thile & Steinert, Berlin”; with its crimped seal (magnetic). With its original envelope; labeled “Collar tab for Forstanwärter”, numbered “9465”, dated “12.11.41”, and with the factory’s maker mark “Thile & Steinert, Berlin”; measuring 161 mm x 113 mm; in top condition.
