WWI Canadian Military Medal and War Medal, Military Medal, George V, uncrowned head, (730083 L. CPL C. J. BOOTY. 4/CAN: INF:), 1914-18 War Medal, (730083 L. SJT. C.J. BOOTY. 4-CAN.INF. ). Naming is impressed, worn yet very fine. 
 
Footnote: Charles Joseph Booty was born on 21st June 1897 in Galt, Ontario and joined the 111th Bn C.E.F. on 24th November 1915. Military Medal, London Gazette 19 Nov. 1917. Citation reads: “For conspicuous bravery and devotion to duty. On Aug 15th to 21st 1917 L/Cpl BOOTY went forward and out a block in a communications trench which led to the enemy’s line. At the time, the enemy’s exact position was very uncertain and as he kept firing across the spot with M.G. and continued bombing some distance along this communication trench, L/Cpl. BOOTY’s task was very hazardous, yet he completed the block and posted his men, holding it throughout the tour. He brought in a number of wounded men of another Unit from in front of his post, and generally behaved in a splendid manner.”
