A second war German “Panzerkampfabzeichen”; oval shaped zink (previously silvered, but 100% of the silvering has worn off); the obverse with a border of oak leaves with a tie at the base and a Panzerkampfwagen IV superimposed in the centre on grassy ground, with the left tank track extending over the edge of the badge; the reverse plain with a vertical needle style pin (previously replaced), a hinge, and a round wire catch; maker marked “R.S.” for “Rudolf Souval, Vienna) on the reverse; measuring 59.95 mm x 41.98 mm; weighing 36.0 grams; a recovered example in fine condition.
