A fine quality manufacture Clasp to the Iron Cross 1939 First Class; 2nd type; in silvered tombac; vertical straight pinback with a barrel hinge and a slightly rounded catch; unmarked but displaying the characteristics of “B. H. Mayer” manufacture, such pin/hinge/catch, as well as the straight line of pebbling within the right arm of the swastika; measuring 44.17 mm x 30.46 mm; weighing 9.5 grams; a worn example; in overall near very fine condition with light oxidation on the swastika.
