A mid-war manufacture example of a “Kriegsabzeichen für Marine Artillerie”; in silvered and gilded zink; the obverse in the shape of a gilded oval oak wreath, with a national eagle on the top of the badge clutching a mobile swastika, and a naval artillery gun pointing towards the top right, extending past the wreath; the reverse plain, with a vertical needle pinback, a crimped sheet metal hinge, and a crimped round wire catch; measuring 53.84 mm x 41.54 mm; with the majority of the original finish worn off due to age and wear; a worn example; in overall near very fine condition.
