A SS EM/NCO’s Standard Issue Belt Buckle

This is a SS EM/NCO’s Standard Issue belt buckle; stamped steel (magnetic) with a silver aluminum finish; the obverse with a standard SS motif consisting of a national eagle with spread wings clutching a static swastika in its talons and the SS motto “Meine Ehre heißt Treue” in raised lettering surrounding the wreathed swastika between two ropes; the reverse with a standard double-claw prongs and catch; measuring 64 mm x 48 mm; with heavy wear to the original silver-wash; a proudly worn example; in overall better than fine condition.
