A Third Reich Period SS/SA Flag Bearer’s Gorget

This is a third reich period gorget that was worn by SA and early SS flag bearers; constructed of nickel-silver (non-magnetic), with a centre applique consisting of a nickel-plated roundel featuring a SA/early SS belt buckle motif superimposed on gilded sun rays; with two decorated bosses on the left and right of the shield that reach through the shield and offer hooks for the suspension chain, along with a third supportive tab in the centre of the reverse; reverse is lined with black felt; maker marked “RZM 83” on the hooks; measuring 128 mm x 120 mm; a lightly worn example; in overall near mint condition.
