A certificate, measuring 210x158mm, extremely fine condition with some discolouration and light creasing, glued to cardboard. It states that Wilhelm Götz from Geislingen (southern Germany) has been a member for 25 years in the German Warriors Association (Kyffhäuserbund). The document is dated to Berlin on November 23, 1935 and carries a facsimile of federal leader Wilhelm Reinhard (1869–1955), SS-Obergruppenführer, and a recipient of the Pour le Mérite with Oak Leaves. Footnote: The Kyffhäuserbund was founded in 1900 as an umbrella organization to incorporate all war veterans’ and reservists’ associations. It is named after the Kyffhäuser Monument, a war memorial in Thuringia, central Germany. After the German defeat in the Battle of Stalingrad, A.H. unceremoniously disbanded it himself.
