A 1914 German Imperial 1914 Verdienstmedaille; in silver gilt; the obverse with a leftward facing bust of Wilhelm Ernst Großherzog von Sachsen, and described as such; the reverse with a circular oak wreath inscribed “Dem Verdienste 1914”; on loop for suspension; with its period original ribbon; measuring 36.06 mm in diameter; weighing 25.2 grams; with approximately 50% of the original gilding remaining; in overall near very fine condition.
