A fine early quality textbook example of a Luftwaffe Squadron Clasp for Bomber Pilots; in bronzed tombac; the obverse with a central downward-sloping winged bomb within a laurel wreath, with a static swastika on the bottom of the wreath and nine oak leaves on either side of the wreath; horizontal slender banjo style pinback with a barrel hinge and a round wire catch (the catch is bent, not allowing the pinback to open); maker marked “G. H. Osang, Dresden” on the reverse; measuring 76.71 mm x 25.85 mm; weighing 18.5 grams; remnants from previous collector mounting remaining on the reverse; a fine quality example in overall near mint.
