A mint early war German “Verwundetenabzeichen”; oval shaped silvered tombac; the obverse pebbled with a Stahlhelm featuring a large mobile swastika on its side superimposed on crossed swords within a wreath of laurel wreaths with a tied bow at the bottom; the reverse plain with a vertical needle style pin, a barrel hinge, and a round wire catch; measuring 45.70 mm x 38.06 mm; weighing 30.5 grams. Accompanied by a case. Constructed of heavy cardstock, with a burgundy faux leather (leatherette) exterior; interior of the lid embossed with the LDO logo in golden lettering; slotted medal bed; exterior leatherette hinge perfectly intact; measuring 66 mm x 66 mm; appearing unworn; in absolute mint condition.
