A second war German “Panzerkampfabzeichen”; oval shaped bronzed tombac; the obverse with a border of oak leaves with a tie at the base and a Panzerkampfwagen IV superimposed in the centre on grassy ground, with the left tank track extending over the edge of the badge; the reverse plain with a crimped vertical needle style pin and a crimped round wire catch; maker marked with the stylized logo of “Hermann Aurich, Dresden” on the reverse; measuring 60.00 mm x 41.66 mm; weighing 32.8 grams; with all of the original bronze finish worn off; in overall near very fine condition.
