A First War Pair & Mons Medal to the 34th Battery, Canadian Field Artillery

British War Medal (304376. A.SGT W. REDPATH C.F.A.); and Victory Medal (304376. A.SGT W REDPATH C.F.A.). Original naming has been erased and re-engraved. Un-mounted, replacement ribbons, the VM ribbon with an aluminum City of Mons Canadian Corps Commemorative medal sewn in place, surface wear on the VM, contact marks on both, fine. Footnote: William Redpath was born on December 20, 1890 in Edinburgh, Scotland. He was a resident of Toronto, Ontario when he signed his Attestation Paper (304376) with the 34th Battery, Canadian Field Artillery, on November 12, 1915 in Toronto, at the age of 24, naming his next-of-kin as his mother, Marjory Redpath of Toronto, stating that he had no previous military service, that he was not married and that his trade was that of Clerk. He survived the war.
