Footnote: William Redpath was born on December 20, 1890 in Edinburgh, Scotland. He was a resident of Toronto, Ontario when he signed his Attestation Paper (304376) with the 34th Battery, Canadian Field Artillery, on November 12, 1915 in Toronto, at the age of 24, naming his next-of-kin as his mother, Marjory Redpath of Toronto, stating that he had no previous military service, that he was not married and that his trade was that of Clerk. He survived the war.
