A textbook example of an interwar manufacture Radio Operator & Air Gunner “Fliegerschützenabzeichen für Bordfunker” badge; in silvered and patinated zink; two piece construction - consisting of a wreath of oak leaves and laurel leaves, with a mobile swastika on the bottom of the wreath and an eagle that was separately applied onto the wreath (utilizing two rivets visible on the reverse); vertical needle style pin with a sheet metal hinge and a flat wire catch; measuring 53.61 mm x 41.47 mm; weighing 28.0 grams; with approximately 60% of the original silver-wash remaining; a worn example in near very fine condition.
