A well preserved Waffen-SS Officer’s brocade dress belt and buckle. The buckle is constructed of zink with an aluminum finish. Depicted on the obverse is a large national eagle with outstretched wings perched on a large central wreath with a static swastika within it. On the bottom half of the buckle is a large banner inscribed “Meine Ehre heißt Treue”. The reverse is mostly plain, marked “SS”, “OCL”, “RZM” and “36/42”. It is complete with dual prongs for attachment to the belt, measuring 49 mm in diameter. The brocade dress belt is constructed of fine aluminum wire embroidery depicting multiple contrasting SS runes as well as floral patterns throughout with three rows of contrasting black/silver/black embroidery along the top and bottom edges. The matching aluminum receiving clip is secured to the belt where it wraps around the reverse and is stitched in place on the left end. The lower side is constructed of fine quality green satin, with a single matching slider. The leather tab is green-coloured, with some light to moderate cracking from age, with fourteen rows of two vertically oriented rows of holes for length adjustment. The belt is unmarked; measuring 96 cm x 41 mm; in better than very fine condition. (C:166)
