A Second War German Silver Grade Infantry Assault Badge

A second war German “Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen” silver grade; oval shaped oak leaf wreath in silvered zink, with a national eagle clutching a swastika on the top and a bowtie on the bottom. Diagonally across the badge is a Karabiner 98k with the bayonet attached to the front of the barrel, and with the carrying sling hanging from the rifle; the reverse plain; with a vertical round wire pinback, a sheet metal hinge, and a round wire catch; unmarked; measuring 61.55 mm x 46.00 mm; weighing 22.6 grams; a worn example, with all of the original silver finish worn off, but with enough remaining to allow for positive identification as a silver grade award; in overall better than fine condition.
