A mid-war manufacture example of a “Kriegsabzeichen für Marine Artillerie”; in silvered and gilt zink; the obverse depicting a gilded oval oak wreath, with a national eagle on the top of the badge clutching a mobile swastika, and a coastal artillery gun pointing toward the top left, extending past the wreath; the reverse plain, with a vertical banjo style pin, a sheet metal hinge, and a magnetic round wire catch; measuring 54.43 mm x 40.84 mm; with all of its gilt on the obverse worn off; a proudly worn example in very fine condition.
