Item #W4778
United States; Die-cast metal with a gold-coloured wash over an olive green painted base, emboss stamped "GERM. HVY. TANK PZ. KW. 6" on the underside at the front, ghost type stamped "PZ. KW." on the underside at the back, 82 mm x 202 mm x 90 mm in height, scattered wear in the gold-coloured wash, near extremely fine.
Footnote: The German Neubaufahrzeug series of tank prototypes were a first attempt to create a heavy tank for the Wehrmacht after Adolf Hitler had come to power. Only 5 were made. Multi-turreted, heavy and slow, they were not considered successful, which led to only five being produced. These were primarily used for propaganda purposes, though three took part in the Battle of Norway in 1940. (C:152)
