A Second War American Silver Star; Numbered & Cased

United States; Two-piece construction, silver star placed upon a bronze gilt star-shaped base, numbered "28750" on the edge of the arm at 7 o'clock, 34.5 mm x 35.5 mm, original ribbon with brooch pinback, scattered gilt wear on the star base, near extremely fine. Accompanied by its 10 mm x 36.5 mm ribbon bar with pinback and its 3.5 mm x 18 mm enamelled ribbon bar with screwback, in their hardshelled case of issue, marked "SILVER STAR MEDAL" on the lid, case extremely fine.
